RAF Air Movements 1953-1961

I was in the RAF from 1977 to 1985.
My father was in the RAF from 1954 National Service, (he stayed on after this) first posting for him was RAF West Kirby. Where he completed his training. He was Radar/Electrical. I suppose what would be termed an original Rigger.
He was then posted to various camps around the UK.
He was at Ventnor on the IoW. On the Radar.
The main reason I have registered is to try and locate some of his old mates.
My father is now 76 years old and has Parkinsons with the onset of Alkzeimers. We have spent many times in conversation where he can recall like it was yesterday his days in the RAF.
His final posting was RAF Bruntingthorpe in Leicestershire.
My Uncle who has sadly passed away had a final posting of RAF Bitteswell (now Magna Park distribution center) in Leicestershire.

Back to myself again I am an ex-sooty. I was stationed at RAF Lyneham on C130's from 1977 to 1982. I was on 1st line servicing based in J3 hangar which is next to J4 hangar (Movements). I got to know a lot of the movements guys whilst doing my tour there. Along with detachments to RAF Aldergrove where the only real entertainment was the Movements crewroom.
